Although I love every kind of space, I have a special fondness for kitchens — and because I know many of you love beautiful kitchen inspiration as well, today I’m sharing the top kitchen trends for 2026, along with kitchen decor ideas, design styles, two tone cabinets, remodel inspiration, and much more.
You’ll find open kitchen designs, small kitchen design ideas, modern spaces, coastal kitchens, cottage style kitchens, white oak and white kitchen cabinets, French country kitchens, unexpected pops of color, and an updated take on the modern farmhouse kitchen.

2026 Kitchen Trends
In 2026 kitchen trends, we expect to see plenty of warm wood and warm white cabinetry, marble backsplashes, mixed metal finishes, custom hood designs, curved islands, and unique ceiling treatments, such as beams, insets, coffers, panels, and bead board.

In addition to a revival of English cottage, French country, and Nancy Meyers style kitchens, we’re seeing plenty of modern minimal spaces with natural wood cabinets.
Rather than certain kitchen styles growing or declining in popularity, the lines between the different styles are blurring, and as you scroll through this year’s kitchen trends, you’ll see an interesting mix of styles and perspectives.
Both traditional and contemporary style kitchens will incorporate smart appliances, including ranges with sous-vide functions, Alexa-enabled refrigerators, and smart screens to pull up your favorite recipe or chat with family while you cook.
Faucets, lighting, pot fillers, and hardware in chic finishes and streamlined silhouettes are becoming the new jewelry of the kitchen.

While open shelving is still in style, kitchen designers are favoring the simple, uncluttered look of one long shelf — perhaps in marble — rather than the stacked wood shelves we’ve seen over the past few years.
