2025 Kitchen Trends and Design Ideas You Will Love

Although I love every kind of space, I have a special fondness for kitchens — and because I know many of you love beautiful kitchen inspiration as well, today I’m sharing some of the top kitchen trends for 2025, along with kitchen decor ideas, design styles, cabinets, lighting inspiration, and much more. 

You’ll find French style kitchens, modern spaces, warm wood kitchen cabinets, coastal kitchens, Mediterranean style kitchens, white oak and white kitchen cabinets, unexpected pops of color, and an updated take on the modern farmhouse kitchen.

2025 Kitchen Trends

As we move toward 2025 kitchen trends, you can expect to see more warm wood cabinetry, marble backsplashes, mixed metal finishes, custom hood designs, and unique ceiling treatments (think beams, insets, coffers, panels, and bead board).

What kitchen styles are trending?  For 2025, kitchen designs will both look back and forward.  In addition to a revival of French country and Mediterranean style kitchens, we’re seeing plenty of modern spaces with natural wood cabinets.

In 2025, both traditional and contemporary style kitchens will incorporate smart appliances, including ranges with sous-vide functions, Alexa-enabled refrigerators, and smart screens to pull up your favorite recipe or chat with family while you cook. 

Faucets, lighting, and hardware in chic finishes and streamlined silhouettes are quickly becoming the new jewelry of the kitchen.

While open shelving is still in style, kitchen designers are favoring the simple, uncluttered look of one long shelf — perhaps in marble — rather than the stacked wood shelves we’ve seen over the past few years.

Remember, when it comes to designing a kitchen, there really are no rules – other than doing what makes you happy and resonates with your own design style. 

With that in mind, I suggest using these kitchen ideas as a way to see what’s possible and gather new ideas and inspiration for your kitchen.

Are farmhouse kitchens out for 2024 and 2025?

While modern farmhouse kitchens will still be extremely popular in 2025, we’ll see this style continue to grow into a more elevated look, borrowing aspects from European farmhouse and French country style kitchens. 

Expect to see a mix of warm woods, white, and black in current kitchen trends, as beautifully illustrated in this contemporary kitchen design:

With the addition of natural elements, textures, vintage pieces, and earth tones, farmhouse style is evolving to a classic, timeless aesthetic.

Kitchen Design Ideas and Inspiration for 2024 into 2025

Whether you love an all-white kitchen, wood cabinetry, a touch of color, unique backsplash ideas, open shelving, or gorgeous pendant lighting, these amazing kitchen designs are filled with ideas for your new or renovated kitchen.

With its warm color palette, organic touches, natural stone elements, and understated elegance, this beautiful kitchen is a great example of what kitchens are currently trending.

Rather than certain kitchen styles growing or declining in popularity, the lines between the different styles are blurring, and as you scroll through this year’s kitchen trends, you’ll see an interesting mix of styles and perspectives.
