Beautiful Kitchen Backsplash Ideas and Trends for 2025

If you’re currently planning a kitchen remodel and are making choices regarding finishes, today I’m sharing some of my favorite kitchen backsplash ideas with you.  I hope you’ll find some great ideas to help you choose the right backsplash for your new kitchen or kitchen renovation.

Because warm wood and white kitchen cabinets are on trend for 2025, I’ve included several backsplash ideas for white kitchens, but if you prefer a pop of color, you’ll also find ideas for different cabinetry colors, as well as bold and bright color schemes, modern kitchen backsplashes, and unique backsplash materials like glass tiles, iridescent tiles, zellige tile backsplash ideas, marble slab backsplashes, porcelain tile, and trending backsplash tile options for every decorating style.

2025 Kitchen Trends

In 2025 kitchen trends, we’re seeing both shimmering zellige tile and marble backsplashes taking center stage. 

In addition to a revival of French country and Mediterranean style kitchens, we’ll see plenty of modern farmhouse and coastal farmhouse spaces incorporating natural wood cabinets and custom range hood designs. 

In 2025 and beyond, both traditional and contemporary kitchens will incorporate smart appliances, including ranges with sous-vide functions, Alexa-enabled refrigerators, and smart screens. 

One of this year’s most popular kitchen trends is the use of mixed metal finishes, as kitchen designers and homeowners are mixing metal finishes on kitchen lighting, faucets, appliances, and cabinet pulls.
