Believe it or not, 2025 is almost here — and next year’s interior design trends are already taking shape! I love keeping up with current home trends and styles, especially the ones I think will stand the test of time. And in today’s post I’m taking a look at the home decor trends predicted to be popular in 2025 and beyond.
Whether you’re updating your home or simply want to know what’s trending, you can already start finding these design trends in stores and incorporating them in your home now.
What are the top home decor and interior design trends for 2025?
In 2025, you can expect to see a mix of new and returning home decor trends from the past few years.
Some of the most popular home trends for 2025 include rich color palettes (with burgundy and deep wine shades taking center stage), all things curvy, and warm wood tones.
Jenny Martin Design – Coast Prestige Homes
In addition, several themes are appearing for interiors in the coming year, with luxury being a cornerstone trend — and you’ll see an elevated, luxurious aesthetic woven throughout this list.
In 2025, rich tones, interesting textures, and understated elegance are in — no matter which decorating style you prefer.
2025 Interior Design and Home Decor Trends
Below are the predicted top trends in home decor and interior design for 2025, including color trends, furniture trends, and seasonal decorating trends.
1. Rich color
After years of non-stop neutrals, rich expressive color is set to make a comeback in 2025.
Deep burgundy (along with sister shades dark wine and oxblood), navy blue, saturated green, chocolate brown, and other warm earth tones will be popular in 2025 — all of which can be used throughout the home in feature walls, bedding, accent pieces, and even cabinetry.
A few rich-colored pillows, throws, or accent pieces are all you need to bring this trend to your home.
Something as simple as a bouquet of rich-hued flowers can bring an elevated look to a space.
For a timeless look, I often turn to navy blue as a color that promotes positivity and elegance in the home.
Sometimes referred to as the new black, navy blue is considered a true neutral, working beautifully with every other color and in every season, bringing a lightness and reassuring quality to any space.
To incorporate color in your home, try layering your bedding with a few of the trending colors for 2025.
You can also bring in a touch of color via a deep-hued area rug.
See my post, Color of the Year 2025 + Top Home Color Trends, for more on current color trends.
2. Quiet luxury
Quiet luxury style is a carry-over trend from last year and refers to spaces that feel sophisticated, minimal, and timeless.
A space reflecting the quiet luxury aesthetic will typically include neutral hues, sumptuous fabrics, warm woods, and other elements that reflect a relaxed, pared-back, elevated way of living and decorating.
To bring the quiet luxury look to your home, focus on a limited, neutral color palette and let the quality and texture of the materials do the heavy lifting.
The key to a quiet luxury style space is mastering the mix of timeless elegance and modern simplicity, creating a space that’s both welcoming and sophisticated, incorporating natural elements, layered fabrics, and subtle textures.
from my post on Restoration Hardware Style
A quiet luxury space isn’t necessarily fancy or expensive — this trend is more about refinement and an appreciation of fine living.
Quiet luxury style spaces are filled with warmth, collected accents, plush seating, soft rugs, layered lighting, and pillows and throws in luxurious materials.
The quality of the materials, craftsmanship, comfort, and timelessness are the hallmarks of this design style.

3. Curves
In 2025, we’ll continue to see lots of arched, curvy, fluted, and rounded lines in furniture and architectural elements.
Soft, curved silhouettes have been popular over the past couple of years and will continue to gain popularity in 2025, as homeowners are loving a more fluid and organic aesthetic in their homes.
Curves and arches are a stylish and elegant addition to any style of home, adding a sense of softness and femininity to every space.
Curved accent pieces, such as mirrors, lamps, ottomans, and decorative accessories, are an easy way to bring this trend to your home.
We’re also seeing lots of curved architectural elements in the home for 2025, including arched doorways, curved bar designs, and curved kitchen cabinets and countertops.
Arched mirrors are a lovely way to bring the curvy trend to the bathroom.

Places like Arhaus, Lulu and Georgia, Crate and Barrel, and Anthropologie are great sources for curved furniture and accent pieces.
4. Warm wood tones
Tying in with other 2025 interior design trends on this list, warm wood tones will dominate throughout the home, in furniture, cabinetry, flooring, and ceiling and wall treatments.
Warm wood finishes bring a comforting, grounded feeling to our homes that will resonate with our lifestyles in 2025 and beyond.
To accent your spaces and add warmth and depth, consider bringing in some warm wood furniture, flooring, cabinetry, or architectural elements like wooden beams.
5. Wall and ceiling treatments
Tying in beautifully with the quiet luxury trend, wall and ceiling treatments can add value to your home by creating a polished, high-end look that appeals to potential buyers.
If you’d like to incorporate a luxurious look in your space, you might want to consider adding beams or a coffered treatment to your ceiling.
Jean Stoffer Interior Design – pendant lights
Adding ceiling or wall treatments to your home elevates the overall aesthetic by introducing texture, depth, and character to otherwise plain surfaces, and is a trending aesthetic which is expected to grow in popularity in 2025.
These treatments, such as paneling, wallpaper, or decorative beams, create visual interest and make a room feel more refined and polished.
Wall and ceiling treatments also help improve acoustics, reducing noise and creating a more comfortable living environment.
Additionally, they offer an opportunity to express your personal style, making each space feel unique and tailored to your taste.
I’m starting to see this look more often as designers are moving away from the trend of painting just one accent wall in a room, opting instead for a bold look on the ceiling.
And, I have to say this is a trend I love!
We’ve installed both picture frame wall molding and board and batten wall treatments throughout our home, and I’m so happy we did.

6. Mixed metal finishes
In 2025, homeowners and designers are loving a mixed metal look in the bathroom and kitchen.
Years ago, when we were building our home, we chose one metal finish for every metal surface: the light fixtures, faucets, cabinet pulls, towel racks — even the door knobs and hinges — were all brushed nickel. Thankfully, the days of using one metal finish everywhere are over!

It’s now very popular to mix and match metal finishes, not only in the kitchen and bathroom, but throughout the home on surfaces like doorknobs, curtain rods, light fixtures, hinges, and more.
Whether you’re going for a modern or traditional look, mixing metals is the perfect way to add visual interest to your home and is a look that will last through 2025 and beyond.

7. Natural stone finishes
Natural stone finishes are having a big moment right now — particularly materials that incorporate warm tones and interesting patterns, and this trend will continue through 2025.
As a part of the quiet luxury and modern cottage style trends, we’re also seeing natural marble elements coming to the forefront of the design world.
As nature’s art, the use of marble is a timeless look, and you can never go wrong by adding a touch of marble to a space.
Other than marble, some of the most popular natural stone elements include travertine, granite, soapstone, quartzite, limestone, slate, basalt, bluestone, and similar materials.
There’s a certain charm and patina that comes with use of natural stone surfaces, so don’t be afraid of the scratches, dings, and stains that are an inevitable part of having natural stone surfaces in your home.
Some ways to incorporate the natural stone trend in your home include stone coffee tables, countertops, backsplashes, flooring, handcrafted ceramics and pottery, artisanal clay vases, and stoneware.
The Life Styled Co. – marble coffee tables
Shimmering zellige tile is also having a moment in kitchen and bathroom applications.
Zellige tiles are handcrafted from clay, and each one is unique, retaining variations in shimmer, depth and color tone, making them popular with interior designers.
8. Modern cottage (aka Nancy Meyers) style
English country, modern cottage, and Nancy Meyers styles are expected to grow in popularity in 2025, due to their beguiling mix of European charm and modern elements.
Rooted in European decor, English country cottage style remains popular with its classic furniture silhouettes, rich wood tones, and warm, inviting atmosphere.
In 2025, English country cottage design will continue to merge with more contemporary looks in what’s often referred to as Nancy Meyers, New Traditional, or Updated Classic styles.
This could include more streamlined furniture, fresher color palettes, and a blend of classic and modern decor.
Incorporating a blending of English country cottage style, colonial chic interior design, modern farmhouse, and Nancy Meyers style interiors, the modern cottage aesthetic is all about a relaxed, elevated approach to interior decorating.
Jean Stoffer Interior Design – wall sconces
In modern cottage style interiors, you might find vintage pieces, marble countertops, wall moldings, modern lighting and artwork, brass or polished nickel metal finishes, and warm wood flooring — all of which speak to a comfortable, intentional way of living and decorating.

Places like Serena & Lily, Stoffer Home, McGee & Co., and Arhaus are great places to find Nancy Meyers and modern cottage style decor and furniture.
9. Western and equestrian influences
This emerging design trend, drawing on equestrian and western themes, is chic and luxurious, incorporating woven textures like cane, rattan, and wicker, and textured fabrics like tweed, velvet, leather, suede, and wool.
The western and equestrian interior design aesthetic ties in beautifully with the other home decor trends on this list, including English Country, Quiet Luxury, warm wood elements, wall treatments, rich colors, and natural stone surfaces.
To see this trend in the context of 2025’s trending looks, think of designers like Ralph Lauren, whose spaces reflect a sense of Americana chic, with elegance, warmth, and understated elegance.

10. Warm minimalism
For the last few years, interior designers have embraced warm minimalism as a way to create a calming aesthetic in the home, and in 2025 this trend looks to become more popular than ever.
This trend, which is closely related to organic modern style, focuses on high-quality materials, clean lines, and a few well-chosen, luxurious pieces that stand out.
Warm minimalism is about creating a serene, uncluttered space that feels both elegant and timeless.
This design style often incorporates warm tones and interesting textures, making spaces feel more inviting and comfortable without sacrificing the clean, uncluttered aesthetic.
Bone Made – similar dining chairs
Warm minimalism enhances the livability of a space by reducing visual clutter, emphasizing calming earth, sea, and sky tones, and highlighting the main purpose of a room, making it easier to focus and relax.

Is modern farmhouse still in style in 2025?
While modern farmhouse interior design will still be popular in 2025, it will continue to evolve, incorporating more contemporary elements from organic modern, mid-century modern, and California casual styles.
The updated version of modern farmhouse style features sleeker lines, less emphasis on shiplap and barn doors, and greater integration of sustainable materials.
Brooke Wagner – Brandon Architects – Patterson Custom Homes
With an emphasis on natural textures, curvy shapes, and an interesting mix of vintage and modern elements, modern farmhouse 2.0 shows no signs of diminishing in 2025.
In conclusion, whether your preferred interior design style is modern farmhouse, contemporary coastal, California casual, Scandinavian, minimalist, Japandi, transitional, eclectic, or something in between, I hope this post provided plenty of inspiration, guidance on 2025 home decor trends, and practical ideas for updating your spaces.
