Fall is here, and today I’m sharing some simple fall decor ideas to bring an elevated touch of autumn to every room in your home.
Since I’m all about keeping things easy, most of the fall decorating ideas and tips in this post involve creative ways of using items you probably already have around the house.
You’ll find modern autumn decor ideas and inspiration for incorporating natural elements, cozy textures, and warm hues in your home for fall — all without changing your current design style or color palette.

Fall Home Decor Ideas for 2024
Below are several spaces that beautifully illustrate how to decorate every room in your home for fall — all while keeping it classy and without a lot of fuss.
1. Fall greenery and natural branches
When decorating for fall, I like to begin by gathering fresh branches and greenery from outdoors. There’s nothing easier — or more beautiful — and it’s one of my favorite tips for decorating for fall on a budget.
Here’s a beautiful space showing how the simple addition of a few fall branches, along with some wood elements and framed artwork, can create a modern fall look in the entryway. From Alexis Andra Austin.
You can often find fall grasses, stems, and dried flowers in neighboring fields, too.

2. Fall coffee table and console table styling ideas
Decorating the living room or entryway for fall can be as simple as adding a few cozy autumn touches like candles and books to your coffee tables, ottomans, console tables, side tables, and shelves. Here are a few beautiful fall table decor ideas.

3. Add a warm aesthetic with fall textiles
Next, throw in a few pillows, throws, and rugs in warm, earthy fall tones.
Switching out some of the pillows on your sofa, adding a heavier blanket to the end of your bed, and draping chunky knit throws on the arms or backs of your couch and chairs can bring an instant touch of warm fall décor to your home.

4. Layer on the autumn textures
I mention this decor tip in almost all of my posts, but adding in some interesting textures, through baskets, nubby fabrics, woven rugs and light fixtures, can completely transform the look and feeling of a room — especially when it comes to fall decorating.
