July 1, 2022 at 10:52 pmHi Jane, Happy 4th Weekend! I’ve been tracking those IKEA sofas you have and looks like they are going out and no delivery or local availability in my area (Bay Area). I had already seen the World Market feather filled versions but will have to see in person to determine if they have truly removable/washable covers. Any other thoughts on the white sofas that do have removable/cleanable cushion covers? We have 2 dogs with well sofa access…

July 2, 2022 at 7:06 amHi lovely Mariangela! Yes, it looks like the Farlov sofas are discontinued, unfortunately. I noticed Ikea has a new slipcovered line called the Backsalen. I like the look, but it doesn’t look as though it would be as cushy as the Farlov or the Harlanda (which we have in our basement). We do have the World Market feather-filled chairs, and the seat and back cushions are removable and washable, but the body slipcover isn’t removable at all–I’m guessing it would be the same with the WM sofa. I was in Pottery Barn the other day and am loving all their fabric and sofa options. I still have these Pottery Barn slipcovered chairs, which I bought about 20 years ago, so I can attest to their quality. The PB York Slope Arm Slipcovered sofa, looks very similar to the Farlov and might be a good alternative and would offer lots of fabric options that would work well with pups! I hope this helps!
