Fall Entryway Decor Ideas for a Beautiful First Impression

The entryway is the first thing guests see when they step into your home, and in the fall, it offers the perfect opportunity to create a warm and inviting welcome.

Whether you have a grand foyer or a small hallway, a few thoughtful touches can instantly bring the cozy spirit of autumn inside.

4. Use Pumpkins and Natural Elements

Pumpkins aren’t just for porches. Group a few small white or heirloom pumpkins on your console, in a basket, or under a cloche for a stylish seasonal statement.

I LOVE your style! So beautiful! I would love to see some ideas you may have for oversized art. I have 13ft ceiling and have been trying to find something eye catching for the huge empty wall going down the stairwell, right inside the main entrance. Any ideas would be so appreciated!

Hi Charla! Thank you so much for your kind words! One of my favorite sources for oversized art is Crate & Barrel. They have several pieces that would work beautifully in a stairwell, including one piece called “Dark Modern Moment,” which is 49 x 81″. However, most of their pieces are abstract, so if you aren’t into abstracts, Minted has thousands of art prints, including some beautiful coastal-themed prints, that can be customized in different sizes and frame finishes. Another idea would be to put together a gallery wall to fill the space, perhaps with botanical prints or landscapes. Crate & Barrel, Minted, and McGee & Co. all have gallery wall sets in various sizes and finishes. And, if you like tapestries, Magnolia has several on their site, including some pretty florals and botanicals (ex.: Vintage Bloom Sketch Tapestry, Floral Trio Vintage Tapestry, Antique Botanical Study). As a final idea, if you can’t find the right piece, you might consider creating your own art using a large canvas from Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Again, thank you for reaching out and I wish you all my best in finding the perfect piece for your stairwell! xo Jane
