Autumn is on its way, and before you know it, we’ll be talking about the holidays, so today I thought I’d share a few easy fall decorating ideas for the home featuring one of my favorite fall decor accents, little white pumpkins.
When it comes to decorating for fall and Halloween, white pumpkins are my go-to: they’re neutral, inexpensive, and work with every decorating style.
White pumpkins truly are one of the most budget-friendly and easiest ways to decorate your mantel, table, and front porch for fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving.
Trader Joe’s is a great source for little white pumpkins, although I’ve also found the ones with long curvy stems at the grocery store (Kroger) in the produce section.
When decorating your home for fall, I recommend starting out by gathering fresh branches, stems, and greenery — either from your own back yard or the grocery store.
Fall branches, flowers, eucalyptus, and stems can be added to vases, pitchers, and Mason jars, draped on your fall mantel, used as a centerpiece for the dining table, featured in the entry way — the possibilities are endless.
Then, just add in a few white pumpkins here and there, and fall decorating is done.
Another simple fall decor idea is to use fresh fruit (green apples and pears are beautiful and long-lasting), vegetables (artichokes are wonderful for decorating your kitchen counters for fall), and eucalyptus stems — especially seeded or silver dollar eucalyptus, if you can find it.
A pumpkin-filled window box
I love the clean, elegant look of a pumpkin-filled window box. This idea could easily be incorporated on the front porch, too.
Here’s a similar look incorporating purple mums.
Natural elements, including anything made with wood, pair beautifully with little white pumpkins. Placing several white pumpkins in a rustic wood bowl is an easy fall centerpiece idea.
