Bathroom vanity mirrors are an incredibly important part of any bathroom design.  Not only do they enhance the beauty of a bathroom, they serve as functional and light-enhancing elements. With that in mind, today I’m sharing dozens of bathroom wall mirror ideas, images of bathrooms featuring different types of bathroom mirrors, places to shop for vanity mirrors, and more.

Whether you’re updating a master bath, powder room, small bathroom, or spacious en suite, I hope you’ll find all sorts of ideas and inspiration in this post.

If you’ve been following along for a little while, you know we recently renovated our master bathroom, which included replacing our frameless wall mirrors with brass pivoting mirrors.

Before choosing our new bathroom mirrors, I spent hours gathering tips, ideas, and inspiration on this topic, and today I’m sharing everything I learned.

If you’re currently planning a complete bathroom remodel, making choices regarding finishes, or are simply looking for new bathroom vanity mirrors to update your space, I hope you’ll find this post helpful and informative.

What are the current bathroom mirror trends?

Asymmetrical and wavy mirrors are extremely popular right now, reflecting the current trend incorporating curvy and rounded decor throughout the home.

An asymmetrical, wavy, squiggle, or scalloped mirror can bring a modern, freeform look to your space, softening the hard edges typically found in bathrooms.

However, if you’re not quite ready to jump on the wavy mirror trend, an arched, oval, or curved top mirror is the perfect way to add a contemporary touch to any style of bathroom.

What type of mirror is best for bathrooms?

In 2024, bathroom design is all about personal expression.  The use of natural materials, such as wood, marble, and stone, as well as mixed metals, is becoming increasingly popular.

This means you’re free to create your own look and choose any type, shape, and style of bathroom mirror you prefer.

Frameless mirrors are perfect for minimalist bathroom designs or small spaces where a bulky frame might look out of place.

A large mirror is a great option for spacious bathrooms, as it can create a focal point and add drama to your bathroom design.

A large mirror can be used as a decorative element or a functional one, providing a full-length reflective surface for dressing or grooming.

A rectangular mirror is a classic option that can fit into any bathroom design.

6. Double Vanity Mirrors

A double vanity is a popular option in master bathrooms, providing a functional and stylish solution for couples.

A double vanity usually comes with two sinks and two mirrors, providing enough space for two people to use the bathroom simultaneously.  The two mirrors are typically identical, but could also be different sizes, depending on your preference.

9. Different Sizes and Shapes

Mixing and matching mirrors of different sizes and shapes, including the popular blob mirror, adds visual interest to your bathroom design.

Consider using a large mirror as a focal point and smaller mirrors as accent pieces.  This approach creates a layered effect, adding depth and dimension to your space.

Here’s a beautiful contemporary bathroom featuring a gorgeous mirror leaned against the wall, along with smaller silver framed mirrors over the sink.
